A welded vehicle cab from L+M Industriestahlbau

A robust, welded vehicle cab compliant with EN 15085 is required for a newly developed measurement and grinding train.

The structure must accommodate numerous attachments, floor panels, window and door areas, as well as openings for wiring, ventilation, and other components. At the same time, strict requirements regarding dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and surface finish must be met, as the train will also be operated near the coast.

The challenge

The cabin structure consists of over 200 individual parts made of profiles, sheet metal, and reinforcements. Precise manufacturing, clean welding, and compliance with the required standards and tolerances are crucial.
In addition, all weld seams on the exterior and interior of the cabin must be ground down, which places high demands on workmanship and finish.
