Precoating systems as fire protection

They reduce the risk of fire in filter systems and pipelines that could be caused by flying sparks, especially when processing combustible dusts (e.g. in metal processing), special additives can reduce flammability during precoating.

Precoating for longer filter service life

Especially when extracting dust emissions, such as welding fumes and resins, the filter cartridges become saturated very quickly, i.e. the filter material is clogged within a short time.
The precoating system coats the filter cartridges with filter aid. The process is called precoating (the coating is applied before filtration).

The precoating agent is dosed accordingly so that an even layer is created for optimum protection of the filter cartridges.

Cleaning process for precoating systems

The cleaning process takes place after each filtration cycle. Thanks to the compressed air pulses, the fine dust falls into the system’s dust container. By adding the precoating agent again, a new layer is formed on the filter medium. To ensure effective filtration, this process must be repeated at regular intervals, which significantly extends the functionality and service life of the filter cartridges, even with large quantities of dust or damp, sticky dust.

Precoating the filter cartridges is suitable for extracting, among other things:

• Soldering fumes or welding fumes
• Color mist
• Explosive dusts, e.g. graphite dust, flour dust, corn dust
