Railings are a simple but effective way of preventing accidents. In the case of mechanical equipment in particular, a fall often has serious consequences for the person affected and the company.

There are several provisions that are authoritative. If the fall height is more than 50 centimeters, work platforms and access points to workstations on machines and systems must be secured with fixed railings (in accordance with the SN EN ISO 14122-3 standard).
