Slip ring cover

Waste heat and coal dust generated by the slip rings of a hydropower plant project are to be dissipated in a compact manner. As this machine component is the only visible element in the machine room, it should also satisfy the power plant operator in terms of aesthetics and workmanship.

Together with the customer, a slip ring cover was developed that compactly combines the essential design components to meet the requirements. In addition, a logistics and transportation concept for bringing the assemblies into the cavern was already implemented during the concept phase. During the implementation phase, the entire hood was completely assembled to ensure smooth installation on the construction site.
