In the manufacturing process, the lenses of the glasses are cut out of a special plastic sheet using a laser cutting machine.

This produces a lot of laser smoke with an unpleasant odor. L+M AG developed the professional solution with the EcoCell 3.9-600 cleanable extraction system and automatic precoating system and implemented it to the customer’s delight. The automatic precoating system applies a defined quantity of a filter aid (precoating powder) to the filter cartridges each time it is switched on. This filter aid forms a mechanical separating layer between the filter cartridges and the sticky smoke, allowing it to be easily removed during cleaning. The suction power can be continuously adjusted by means of a frequency converter depending on the amount of smoke produced.
