An enormous amount of dust was created at the truck loading station for gravel and crushed sand at the gravel works in question. The existing bag filter system was chronically overloaded and needed to be relieved by an additional extraction system.The filter system from L+M AG is installed outdoors next to the loading station. The pipes made of welded sheet steel are routed along the conveyor belts from the individual extraction points to the dust extractor and the exhaust air is routed back outside via a silencer. The dust is discharged via a hopper with pinch valves and by means of high-pressure conveying into a silo approx. 100 meters away. A throttle valve is installed in the connecting pipe of the old system to reduce its air volume. These measures reduce the filter load of the old extraction system so that it works with a normal differential pressure again. The power consumption of the 110 kW motor and the compressed air consumption are also significantly reduced.
