Extracting welding fumes in the factory

Initial situation

Our customer, in a rural area in the Zurzach district grinds, cuts and welds metal
at four workstations. There was previously no extraction system in the spacious workshop. Welding fumes are the main cause of the poor air quality in the hall and the protection of employees is therefore unsatisfactory.

The clever solution from L+M AG extraction systems

After assessing the situation and consulting with the L+M extraction system sales team, an individual solution is developed that not only ensures good indoor air quality but also protects the health of employees.

Pleasantly warm air in winter

New extraction arms with capture hoods are installed at the existing four workstations. When the cleaned air is returned from the individual air outlets at the workstations, it passes through the existing heating registers on the ceiling.

This heats the air and thus improves the air temperature in winter – an additional benefit for the workforce (push-pull).
