As soon as these are collected by an extraction or dedusting system, fine dusts in particular can ignite in high concentrations and cause an explosion. Such measures are explosion suppression or explosion pressure relief. <\/p>\n<h2>EXPLOSION SUPPRESSION<\/h2>\n<p>Explosion suppression is a process in which the combustion of an explosive atmosphere in a closed or essentially closed volume is detected and interrupted in the initial phase by adding a suitable extinguishing agent, e.g. extinguishing powder, in order to prevent a dangerous build-up of pressure.<\/p>\n\n    \n    \n\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div  class=\"block block-content bg-weiss pb-mittel\">\n    <div class=\"main-container\">\n        <div class=\"content-container\">\n\n            \n\n    <h2 class=\"d3\">EXPLOSION VENTING<\/h2>\n\n    <p>Explosion venting is intended to prevent the build-up of impermissibly high explosion pressure inside containers, e.g. in an extraction system, by releasing defined openings in good time.<\/p>\n<h3>Rupture disks<\/h3>\n<p>For example, L+M AG uses bursting discs to relieve pressure in extraction and filter systems<br \/>\nBursting discs are safety devices with defined predetermined breaking points that react to corresponding pressure and are used to relieve pressure.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16322 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/lume.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/LM-AG-Brandschutz-und-Explosionsschutz-ATEX-Berstscheibe-e1772715035468-400x323.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"323\"><\/p>\n<h3>Flameless explosion venting<\/h3>\n<p>Flameless explosion venting offers you the safest and most economical solution in production interiors and enables explosion venting in enclosed spaces without the spread of flames and dust.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-16325 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/lume.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/LM-AG-Brandschutz-und-Explosionsschutz-ATEX-Flammenlose-Explosionsdruckentlastung-e1772715223753-268x400.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"268\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<h3>Non-return flap<\/h3>\n<p>The non-return flap effectively blocks dust explosions in upstream and downstream system components (filter systems, cyclone separators, etc.).<br \/>\nIt is used in the inlet and outlet of a filter system to protect adjacent parts of the system from an explosion.
